Creed "Red" Walton Price, 85, passed away January 31, 2016, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and caregivers. He served in the US Army and the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Ford Motor Co. in Louisville after 37 1/2 years. He loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Collie and Opal Wells Price; daughter, Vicki Dennison and sister, Geneva Jenkins.
Red is survived by his wife, Pauline Clark Price, daughters, Nancy (Delbert) Armes of Leitchfield, KY, Betty Kraft of Bloomington, IN, Jo Ann (Keith) Price Hume and Brenda Price Roby of Louisville, KY; sister, Marlene Avery of Hodgenville, KY; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that expressions of sympathy be made to your favorite charity.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 3, 2016, from 1pm-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home SW Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) with a celebration of Red's life beginning at 6pm.
The family has chosen cremation and the internment of Red's ashes at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery - Central at a later date.
