Corey M. Perkins, born on September 1, 1995, in New Albany, Indiana, passed away on February 4, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
A proud graduate of New Albany High School in 2014, Corey embarked on a fulfilling career at Voss Clark in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He dedicated himself to his work with a passion that reflected his ardent personality.
Corey cherished spending time with his family and friends, engaging in activities such as playing basketball, enjoying video games with his nephews, and partaking in the great outdoors with hunting and fishing. His enthusiasm for life was unmistakable, and he found joy in every moment spent with those he loved.
Corey is survived by his mother, Angel Perkins; his father, Roger (Scarlett) Perkins, Jr.; his son, Oliver Perkins; and his brothers: Roger (Jessica) Perkins, III, Brandon (Ashleigh) Perkins, and Conner Perkins. He was also a loving uncle to his nieces and nephews: Levi, Paisleigh, Lukas, and Kayleigh. He found strength and guidance in the love of his grandfather, Hubert "Nathan" Swift, and his grandmother, Betty (Richard) Pangburn. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by several cousins and many friends who will carry his memory forward.
Corey was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Swift, and his grandfather, Roger Perkins, Sr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150.
Corey M. Perkins has left a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
The family requests that contributions in Corey’s memory be made to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
