Cordelia "Dee" Nash, 92, passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 18, 2018. She was born on September 8, 1926 in Russellville, KY to Thomas Henry Holman and Jessie McMillen Holman.
She was the most beautiful, selfless, and loving soul you could have ever known. She was a woman of her faith, found joy in going to flea markets and craft shows, gardening, and collecting antiques and all things rooster oriented. Dee also had a passion for sewing as she was an expert seamstress. Her specialty was making teddy bears from old clothes, which she called "Memory Bears."
Dee is reunited with her husband, Leo Nash, along with her parents and several of her brothers and sisters. She left behind her loved ones: daughter, Patsy Breland; son, David Nash (Tracie); grandchildren, Michael Breland (Debbie), Tracy Breland, Caitlin Nash, and Jeff Davis (Stephanie); great-grandchild, Charlotte Jackson; two sisters, Mildred Jones and Paretta Markham; and friends.
There will be a private gathering for her family and close friends.
Our Mom always said instead of flowers, unless you purchase one for yourself and remember her as it grows, she would love for donations to be made in her name to Kentucky Humane Society or American Diabetes Association.
