Constance "Connie" Lee Schroeder, born on October 14, 1946, in Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in New Albany, Indiana. She was a devoted and cherished member of her community, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, warmth, and resilience.

Connie was a proud graduate of Clarksville High School. Her professional life was marked by steadfast commitment and hard work, beginning her career at Brockway Plastics. She further demonstrated her dedication by contributing twenty-three years to Concrete Lady, where she was respected and valued by her colleagues.

Connie was an active and proud member of the Moose Lodge in Sellersburg, Indiana. This association highlighted her enduring commitment to fellowship and service, enriching the lives of those around her.

Outside of her career, Connie enjoyed a variety of interests that brought joy and fulfillment into her life. She had a passion for yard sales and auctions, finding delight in discovering hidden treasures. Traveling provided her with opportunities to create cherished memories, while spending time with her beloved family was a source of great happiness. Connie also embraced the evolving world of technology, often found engaging with her computer.

Connie's family was central to her life, and she is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William Schroeder. Her legacy continues through her children: son William (Linda) Schroeder, Jr., and daughter Tracy Schroeder. She was a beloved grandmother to Joseph (Mya) Pennington, Michele Pennington, and Tiffany Baker. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren Joseph (Chelsea) Pennington, Caleb, Kayleigh, Lyndsia, Autumn, Landon, Addison, Nadalie, Arionah, Isabella, and Aliyah, as well as to her great-great grandchild, Joseph Andrew. Connie was also dearly loved by her sister, Peggy (Carl) Woods; and nephews, Tony and Jimmy Woods.

Connie was preceded in death by her father, Max L. Huffman; her mother, Peggy Juanita Mills; and her stepfather, Raymond Mills. Their memories remain a treasured part of her story.

Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her-her family, friends, and community-who remember her as a woman of kindness, strength, and grace. Constance "Connie" Lee Schroeder leaves behind a life well-lived, marked by love, commitment, and the simple joys that made every day meaningful.

Connie's wishes were to be cremated with no formal services. Family has requested no flowers to be sent.
