Conrad "Conney" Lionel Adam, age 81, of Louisville, returned to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, June 8, 2017, after a valiant battle with vascular dementia. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Conney was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on February 7th, 1936 to the late Conrad Romeo and Ella Frances Lajoie Adam. He graduated from Woonsocket High and then entered into the Air Force in 1953. He married the loved of his life, Josephine Bishop on November 22, 1956, and continued his education in finance. His interest in woodworking and architectural sales led him to a fulfilling career. Conney became a member of the Construction Specification Institute as President for several years, and the Architectural Woodworking Institute, sharing his knowledge with others across the country. His greatest joy in his career was working with the many people who built Southeast Christian Church on Blankenbaker Lane.
Surviving his memory are his wife, Josephine; daughter, Catherine; grandchildren, Heather and Christopher Pauline (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Cooper and Hadley; sister, Lucille Calitri (Louis); and a host of relatives and friends. He always held close to his heart his church families from Southeast Christian Church and Hikes Point Christian Church.
