Connie M. Graham, a beloved figure in her community and a cherished member of her family, passed away on July 11, 2025, in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Born on September 28, 1949, Connie was the daughter of the late Earl and Lois (Mize) Hazel. She is preceded in death by her brother, Brion Hazel; sister, Janice Steinbergen; and son-in-law, Troy Winningham.
For over 20 years, Connie dedicated her career to General Electric, where she left a lasting impact through her hard work and commitment. She was a proud graduate of Western High School, class of 1968, and carried the lessons learned throughout her life.
Connie was known for her feisty personality and her unstoppable spirit. Often described as "hell on wheels," she always found herself busy with various activities. Her zest for life was reflected in her love of traveling, shopping, and her unique hobby of painting and collecting rocks from every destination she visited. She was a woman who thrived on movement and adventure, always seeking new experiences and challenges.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, David W. Graham, and their daughter, Stephanie Winningham. Together, Connie and David built a life filled with love, laughter, and joy, memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
Visitation will also be from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
The family requests that contributions in Connie ’s memory be made to American Cancer Society.
Connie Graham’s vivacious spirit will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire those who knew her.
