Listen to Obituary

Connie Frazanne Dickerson, a cherished mother, grandmother, and daughter, passed away on December 25, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, after a courageous battle with an illness that she had fought valiantly since 2007. Born on November 13, 1958, Connie radiated life and love. Throughout her journey, she touched the hearts of many with her unwavering spirit and vibrant personality.

A proud graduate of duPont Manual High School, Connie stood out even then, making her mark by being voted Flower Girl for the homecoming court as a sophomore. She continued to excel academically, later graduating with honors from Sullivan College, where she earned an associate's degree in accounting. Her professional journey included notable positions at Bremner Biscuit, RC Cola, and Papa John's Pizza, where she even dazzled viewers in a commercial, showcasing her entrepreneurial flair and creativity in every endeavor she undertook.

Connie was not just a dedicated worker; she was the embodiment of love and support within her family. A fierce advocate for her loved ones, she was the centerpiece of every gathering, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Her son, DeWayne Dickerson, and his wife, Mimi Paris Dickerson, along with her granddaughter, Kayen Manovil, were great sources of pride and joy in her life. Connie’s bond with her family extended to her mother, Carolyn Edison (Arthur), her siblings—Milton Dickerson, III, Danard Dickerson, Sonia Johnson (Roger), and Arthur Edison, II (Tiffany)—as well as her numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom cherished her fierce love and support.

Music was a joyful part of Connie's life, and she found solace and inspiration in the sounds of Sly and the Family Stone, the Jackson 5, and Michael Jackson, the melodies of which resonated with her spirit and filled her heart with happiness. Her love for music not only connected her to cherished memories but also served as a reminder of her vibrant personality.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Connie Frazanne Dickerson, we invite those who knew her to remember her strength, creativity, and boundless love for her family. A visitation will be held on January 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on January 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville. Following this, a Celebration of Life will take place on January 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the same location with burial to follow at Floydsburg Cemetery in Crestwood.

Connie's radiant spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. She leaves behind a legacy of determination, warmth, and the unconditional love that defines a family—one that will be remembered and cherished for generations to come.
