Clyde Eugene Engle

Clyde Eugene Engle, born on February 20, 1943, in Boyle County, Kentucky, passed away on October 27, 2025, in Clarksville, Indiana. Clyde's life was marked by a strong commitment to his family and a solid career, having dedicated over 20 years of service to General Electric.

Clyde enjoyed spending time outdoors, with a special love for fishing. He cherished moments spent traveling, particularly vacationing in Florida with his beloved wife, Violet. Family gatherings were dear to his heart, especially trips to Hawaii to visit his son and other loved ones. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness throughout his life.

He is survived by his son, Brian Scott (Victoria) Engle; daughter, Angela Gail Scott; grandchildren, Gregory Scott, Khayman Engle, Khalayla Engle, and Kyla Scott; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Scott, Liam Scott, Elaina Scott, and Addie Hilton. He is also remembered by his sister, Ruth Ellen Alsip; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Clyde was preceded in death by his loving wife, Violet Engle; his parents, Chester Arthur and Mary Ellen Engle; and his brother, Kenneth Engle.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

Clyde Eugene Engle will be remembered for his kindness, love for his family, and the joyful moments he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family.
