Clifford Russell "Rusty" Zimmerman

Clifford Russell "Rusty" Zimmerman, aged 64, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Rusty cherished the time he spent with family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on October 22, 1961, in Louisville, Kentucky, Clifford was the beloved son of Gary Zimmerman and Alma (Crane) Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew, Jordin Barnes.

Clifford is lovingly remembered by his sons, Curt Zimmerman and Trent Zimmerman; his sisters, Cheryl (David) Proctor, Karen Zimmerman-Webb, Angela Zimmerman-Benefiel, and Tracy (Mike) Snodgrass; his step-mother, Pamela Zimmerman; as well as nieces and nephews Cassie (Tim) Finn, Jeremy (Ashley) Russell, Cody Zimmerman, Susan Benefiel, and Belle Benefiel. He also leaves behind great-nephews Bentlee and Kaleo, and great-nieces Leilani and Alannah.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway.

In honor of Clifford’s memory, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to The Kentucky Humane Society.
