Clifford E. Hibbs

It is with deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Clifford Edward Hibbs, age 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, who departed from this world on Sunday, May 18, 2025. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 18, 1955.

Cliff was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Hibbs, sister, Debbie Hayes and brother, Mark McIntyre. And is survived by his brother Mike (Shelley) Hall and sister Tammy (Mike) Phillips.

In addition, Cliff also lived with and loved the Hentchey family for many years. Sadly, his mother, Tommie, sister, Joyce and brother, Charles have already passed. He is survived by brothers, Richard, Larry (Greg), Claude and sisters Hershel, Frankie and Valma.

From both families, he leaves many nieces and nephews, who loved him greatly.

Cliff graduated from Sullivan University with a Bachelor of Business Administration and an Associate degree in Radiology. He was employed by JCPS as a plant operator for 35 years.

Cliff was such a kind and friendly man and found joy in being with his family and friends. He loved traveling and made many trips out west to visit with family. He enjoyed working in his garden, going to movies (eating lots of popcorn) and reading. He adored his cats, Snowball and Ladybug.

Cliff chose cremation. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date, at the family’s convenience.
