Claude Lee Tisby

Claude Tisby, 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021.

Claude was a great father, grandfather, and loving husband. He retired from Hershey Chocolate in 2006. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity (one of the seven sons of Omega) the remaining six are Taft Thompson Jr., Jim Green, Johnnie Morris, Charles Matthews, General Freed, and Marshall Yancey. He was an avid golfer and brought laughter into a room whenever present. He was always there for others in their time of need. Two things that brightened his day were if he walked in a room and saw dominos on a table and a deck of cards for bid whiz.

Claude was born October 17, 1950 in Marshall, Texas to Frank and Authorine Tisby. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Billy Tisby, and Willie Frank Tisby.

Claude is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Tisby, Sons, Cedric Tisby, and Andre (Jessica) Tisby, Grandchildren, Dorion Tisby, Sanaia Tisby, Ja'ce Tisby, and Alyssia Sneed, Sister, Evelyn Tapo, Brother, Archie (Pat) Tisby, Uncle, Herman Haller, Aunt, Bernice Gentry, favorite nephew BJ Tisby, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will be at 4:00 pm on Friday at the funeral home.
