Claude Davis Manica, Jr. was the first born to Claude Manica, Sr and Pearlena Manica. He was born in Simpsonville and raised in Montclair KY.
Claude attended Lincoln Institute, currently Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center in Simpsonville KY.
Claude was a loving and caring gentleman that wore a big smile and had a big heart to match. He loved to joke and have fun, especially introducing himself by saying “My name is Claude and that ain’t all.” His beautiful green eyes attracted the ladies and he loved every moment of it. Claude had a few nick-names. His family called him Sonnie or Duley and his truck driver handle was “Little Fox.”
Claude enjoyed all types of music, especially the Blues & Gospel. A favorite of his was Holy, by Karen Wheaton. Some of his favorite foods were hamburgers, french fries and Little Debbie Nutty Buddy.
Claude was a believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. He was faithful in attendance at worship services and other ministry opportunities. He was a member of Glory and Fire Church until his health began to fail.
Claude was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Irvin, Arthur, Hayes and Fred Manica. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 40 years, Linda J. Manica. Brothers: James Archie (Michelle), Gary (Candy), Ronald B. (Sharon), Johnny (Mary). Sisters: Lillie Thompson (Tee), Diane Russell, Bernice Johnson (Jay), his children. Penny Marie Hinkle (James), Wanda Moore and Goddaughter Fronchesca King. Grandchildren: Jasmine Hinkle, Jair Israel, Caleb Hinkle, Stuart Brown Jr, Cameron (Cam) Brown, Kendrew (Keshon) Brown. And five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation will be March 30th from 10am to 12pm at Spirit of Love Center 4107 West Market Street, Louisville, KY 40212. Funeral Service will be at 5pm. With Repast to follow.
The family requests that flower contributions be made through Earl Thieneman Garden Center.
