Clarence Vincent Allemang

Clarence Vincent "C. V. (Bud)" Allemang, 82, of The Villages FL, formerly of Louisville KY passed away Sunday August 30, 2015, at home. He was born on September 16, 1933 to John and Frances Allemang in Portsmouth Ohio.

He attended Saint Mary Catholic Church in Portsmouth through grade twelve where he was for many years an altar boy and Church bell ringer. In Portsmouth he met the love of his life, Janet Louise Piatt, and they set out on a roller coaster ride that survived, 36 days short of 63 years of marriage. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as a Hospital Corpsman in South Carolina and Bethesda, Maryland . After the Navy he attended the University of Ohio and Tampa University.

After starting out as a salesman, he was used by the Hoover Company to set up stores in many cities as a district manager, one being in Louisville KY at the corner of Broadway and Baxter, that until recently was still operating long after he left the company. When they wanted him to transfer again he changed products and entered the automotive field as a manufacture's rep. During this time, with 5 children and wife he bought a family car, a 1964 1/2 Mustang. Yes you can fit seven in a mustang, four in the back, two in the front and one on the hump. We did have a station wagon for long trips such as camping at Rough River and Beach Bend Park, with visits to Ashland, Ironton and Portsmouth to see family.

Dad led a full life that had him, with mom and us in tow, to live in various parts of the country including a stint as a small town peddler in the hills of eastern Kentucky with his brother in-law Mike and father in-law Carlos. He and his friends loved to play golf, and out of the Tigers AC club they founded and raised thousands of dollars for Little Sisters and Crusade for Children to name a few. He and Janet belonged to the Fairway Christian Church in the Villages that started with 20 plus, fifteen years ago and now has over one thousand members where he served as an Elder. He was proceded in death by his parents and a son Craig Vincent Allemang.

Mr. Allemang is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janet Louise Allemang; five children, Mike (Sandy), Debbie Chiles (Don), Steven Mark (Bing), David (Kim), and Charles Edward; 10 Grandchildren, Tony, Jason, Justin, Brittney, Joanna, Kristin, Katy, Christina, Alana and Brandon; 8 great grandchildren, Malik, Destiny, Eva, Braxton, King, Kaleb, Kaley, and Autumn.

Visitation will be 3-6pm Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, with funeral ceremony to follow.

Burial service will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 Dixie Highway, Radcliff, KY at a later date.
