Clarence "Red" Knight

Clarence "Red" Knight, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully departed this world on August 30, 2026.

Born on May 1, 1945, in Alliance, Ohio, Clarence was the cherished son of Russell and Minnie Knight. His life was filled with love and laughter as a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He served his nation with pride, dedicating three years to the United States Army, including service in the Vietnam War, before continuing with the Reserves. After his military service, he built a rewarding career with the United States Postal Service and Conrail Railroad.

Clarence was a passionate bowler and was known for his sense of humor, always ready to bring smiles to those around him. His faith was important to him, and he was an active member of GracePointe Baptist Church, where he attended the Sunday school class called The Gospel.

He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Russell R. Knight and Clarence (Tammy) Knight, II; grandchildren, Tyler (Ashley) Knight, Kayla (Michael) Lasher, Brandon Knight, and Hannah Knight; five great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends who will cherish his memory forever. He joins his beloved wife, Beverly, and sisters, Mary and Shirley, in eternal rest.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with funeral services following at 4:00 p.m.
