Clarence "Bert" Lucas

Clarence "Bert" Lucas , 86, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on October 15, 2019. Bert was born on January 13, 1933, in Raywick, Kentucky to the late Joseph and Ann (McCauley) Lucas. Bert was a proud Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict. After retiring, Bert enjoyed spending time at his lake house and being outdoors. He was a loving husband and a devoted father, grand father and brother who loved to spend time with his ever growing family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Emila "Maggie" Lucas; his children, Sharon Genton, Carolyn Fulton, Randy Lucas, Ricky Lucas and his siblings, Joseph William Lucas, Jr. and Joseph G. Lucas.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Michelle (Victor) Ware, Mike (Sandy) Sanders, Lynn Shultz, Pam Sanders, Laura "Danette" (Richard) Spivey, Debbie Lucas, Karen Lucas; 19 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 3 great- great grandchildren; siblings, Joseph Ywell (Thelma) Lucas, Mary L. (Kenneth) Gilbert and Louis Gerald (Rita)Lucas.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, October 21, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). His Funeral Ceremony will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
