Chuck Fulkerson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on November 25, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on June 12, 1940, Chuck lived a life dedicated to his family and community, leaving a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
For over 30 years, Chuck was a dedicated salesman with Burndy and E & H Electric, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to his clients and colleagues. His career was marked not just by professional achievements, but also by the genuine care he extended to everyone he encountered.
Chuck was a man of great humor and wit, known as an entertainer who could charm a room with his storytelling. He was a faithful provider for his family, known for his generosity and selflessness. Whether he was cooking up delicious meals as an excellent cook, teeing off on the golf course, or volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Chuck's spirit of service was evident in all aspects of his life. Never one to miss out on a celebration, he loved hosting parties where family and friends could gather and enjoy each other's company.
A proud United States Army Veteran, Chuck served his country with honor, a testament to his character and commitment to service.
Chuck is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Betty Fulkerson, his cherished daughters, Julia Wilburn (Bryan) and Janelle Williams, and his adoring grandchildren, Landon Wilburn (Emily), Carly Brown (Wyatt), Trent Wilburn, Leyton Wilburn, and Grayson Wilburn. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Gretchen Wilburn and Shepherd Wilburn. Additionally, Chuck is survived by his sister, Nancy Hoffman, and nieces Karen Gilmore (Vance) and Julie Burke (Bart).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Louise (Hood) Fulkerson, who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion that defined his life.
A visitation in honor of Chuck will be held on December 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 PM. Both events will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. As we gather to celebrate his life, we will remember Chuck for the laughter he brought, the love he shared, and the countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
