Chuck Devita, born December 7, 1965, in Camden County, New Jersey, passed away on September 30, 2026.
A 1984 graduate of Haddon Heights High School in New Jersey, Chuck built a life marked by hard work, humor, and devotion to the people he loved most. He worked as a Class B CDL driver and spent time working in lumber. He also served as the manager for Louisville PODS, bringing dedication and reliability to his work throughout the years.
Chuck was a man who enjoyed creating and fixing things with his hands. He loved working on cars and woodworking, and he built many gaming computers. Those interests reflected both his skill and his patience, as well as the satisfaction he found in making something useful and lasting.
He will be remembered for his personality as much as for anything he did. Chuck loved to joke around and was known for his sharp sarcasm and easy conversation. He had a big heart, always meant well, and had a way of being there for others when they needed him. He could talk to anyone, and many will remember the warmth, laughter, and sincerity he brought into everyday moments.
Above all, Chuck had a great love for his family. His proudest accomplishments were his wife, Kesha, and his son, Charles, Jr. The love he had for them was at the center of his life, and that devotion will remain a lasting part of his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Arlene Devita; son, Chucky Devita, Jr., brothers, Robert Devita and Tony Devita; sister, Jeanette Pelletier and his fur babies, Maggie Mae and Hoss.
Chuck leaves behind to cherish his wife, Kesha Devita; grandson, Vincenzio Devita; siblings, Patricia Bauman, Lawrence (Joan) Devita, John Devita and Catherine Devita; brother-in-law, Kristopher (Sara Smiles) Anderson; sister-in-law, Brittany (Denny) Barr; niece, Michele Briggs; nephew, John Thompson; host of extended family and fur baby, Bobos.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on October 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.
Chuck will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
