Christy Ann (Hessig) Chaffin

Christy Ann (Hessig) Chaffin, aged 51, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024. Born on October 27, 1972, in Jeffersonville, she was the cherished daughter of Michael and Vivian (Carver) Hessig.

An avid animal lover, Christy had a special affection for cats. Her joy in life was often found in the simple pleasures—sipping on Coca-Cola and indulging in her fascination with paranormal activity shows. Christy's vibrant personality and interests created a lasting impression on those who knew her.

Christy's family includes her beloved children, Kayla Foley and Justin Cross. She is also survived by her former husband, Franklin Chaffin; her siblings, Michael Hessig, Paula Flowers (Bruce), Vivian Alexander, Mary Hessig, Tonya Hessig, and Ernest Hessig; as well as grandchildren, Braiden, Natile, Kalina, Payton, J.J. and numerous generations of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her son, Ronnie Foley III and grandson, Mason, who both remain in the hearts of those who loved them.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions located at 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. A graveside service will be held for Christy at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
