Christopher Alan Coater

Christopher Alan Coater, 50, of Falls Of Rough, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Chris was a loving son, brother, dad, pawpaw Chris, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. His number one thing was his grandkids. He loved being at the lake and cooking with his family. He was an avid U of L fan and always loved spending time with his cousins. Chris will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He was born on September 14, 1971 in Fort Knox, Kentucky to James and Darlene (Cockriel) Coater. He is preceded in death by his Father, James N Coater, Jr.

Chris is survived by his loving family, Mother, Darlene (Paul) Coater: Children, Cassie Coater and Kevin (Savannah) Coater; Grandchildren, Alex Coater, Zana Coater, Zane Coater, Kevin Coater, Jr., and Theo Coater; Bonus Children, Bradon Shields, Ryan Shields, Morgan McStoots, and Kalynn McStoots; Brother, Jeffrey (Tammy) Coater; Nephews, Jeffrey (Amber) Coater, II and Nicholas (Faith) Coater as well as a host of family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Chris's memory be made to American Heart Association.
