Christina Hayden

Christina Tisdale Jones Jeffery Hayden, age 82 of Louisville, went home to be with Jesus on August 20, 2015. Christina was born on March 22, 1933 to the late John H. and Roseline A. Tisdale. She was the second oldest of four siblings of which three preceded her in death; Ramona, Mary and John. Christina (Granny, as she was affectionately called) accepted Christ at an early age at Hill Street Baptist Church. Christina was the mother of eight children in which one preceded in death on March 11, 2013, Jada (Jones) Thornton. Besides her daughter, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Eston N. Graver and her great-grandson, LaRod Jones, Jr.

Christina leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters and five sons, Mary Jones (Fran), Nisey Graver (Jeffery), John Sherman Jeffrey, Donnie Jeffery, Keith Jeffery, Lee Jeffrey (Tim) and Edward E. Jones, Jr.; son-in-law, Mark Graver; 31 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Christina's first priority was always her family. She managed to work, be a homemaker and raised her children as well as everyone else's kids (smile). Her doors were always open to everyone who needed a mama or a granny. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will truly miss her dearly.

Visitation will be 10am-12pm on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with service to follow. Burial will be in the Worthington Cemetery.
