Shepherd, Christie, 94, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 8, 2016. She was a member of Valley View Church.
Christie was born on October 20, 1921, in Cornettsville, Kentucky to the late Alvry and Lusetta Caudill. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Shepherd; siblings, Thelma York, Bill Caudill, Jim Caudill, and Kermit Caudill.
She is survived by her children, Connie Hudson and Gary Shepherd (Kay); grandchildren, John Caudill, Jodie Reynolds (Jesse), Carla Miltimore, Gary Shepherd Jr.; great-grandchildren, Allison Brown, Jon Miltimore, Joe Miltimore and Tia Miltimore; great-great grandchildren, Aubrey and Eva; sisters, Gladys Nicholson, Kledith Cave and Freda Walker (Billy); sisters-in-law, Shirley Caudill, Betty Caudill; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). A funeral service to honor the life of Christie will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
In loving memory of Christie, memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
