Chester "Pa" Thomas Wesley, 74, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022.
He was born on April 11, 1947 in Liberty, Kentucky to Clarence and Louvernie (Gadberry) Wesley. Chester was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the US Army. He received a Purple Heart while serving his country. Chester was a welder at Jeff Boat, he was proud to tell everyone that he helped build the General Jackson. He retired from the US Postal Service. Chester loved coon hunting and bluegrass music. He also loved spending time with his granddaughters and his great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his Wife, Betty Lou Wesley, Father, Clarence Wesley, Mother, Louvernie Wesley, Brother, Lester Wesley, Sister, Betty Ruth Wesley, Brother, Mckinley Wesley, and Nephew, Keith Ball.
Chester is survived by his Daughter, Jenny (Shawn) Hager, Son, Kevin Wesley, Grandchildren, Sara (Christopher) Brown, Hannah Hager, Taylor Wesley, Mylee Wesley, Great Grandson, Karson Brown, Brother, Vernon (Patty) Wesley, Brother, Dee (Toby) Wesley, Brother, Jay (Marilyn) Wesley, Sister, Mayrienne Haste, Sister, Faye (James) Ball, Sister, Aline Burton, Sister, Dorothy (David) Twillenger, Sister, Mary Rose (Merle) Haste, Sister, Lafern (Gary) Blevins, Brother, Wayne Wesley, and Brother and Sister-in-Law, James and Judy Bayless.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions-East Louisville Chapel, (235 Juneau Dr.). His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, IN.
The family requests that contributions in Chester's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
