Chester Alain Johnson

Chester Alain Johnson, 80, of Georgetown, Indiana, returned to his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 26, 2018. He was born on December 25, 1938, in Stockholm, Kentucky. Chester had tremendous love for his family and enjoyed the time spent with them. He also enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and, above all, speaking with others about the importance of living for God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allie and Nellie (Cox) Johnson; and brother, Richard Johnson.

Chester is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia (Jones) Johnson; sons, Daniel Johnson, Bobby Johnson (Marsha), and Tony Johnson (Lisa); sisters, Edna Hogan (Jerry), Roberta Houchin (Jimmy), and Ruby Ballard (Jimmy); brothers, Lee Johnson (Brenda) and Junior Johnson (Vanessia); grandchildren, Justin, Amanda, Michael, Danielle, Nick, and Kristy; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Chester's wishes.
