Chester Lee "Chet" Hubbard, 74, of Memphis, Indiana, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019. He was the former owner of P&C Hubbard Distributing for over 35 years. After retirement, Chet went to work for Advance Auto Parts in New Albany. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, and coaching little league baseball. Chet was a devoted husband, father, and papaw, with the greatest joy in his life being his family.
He was born on November 21, 1944, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Chester and Beulah (Roman) Hubbard. Chet was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, James, and Charlie Grether; and son-in-law, Roger Barton.
Chet is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pat (Whitaker) Hubbard; children, Kathy Lamm, Debra White, Tamara Barton, Rebecca Gibson, Chester "Brad" Hubbard (Laura), Tara Hubbard, and Debie Bramble; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Sunday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
