Cheryl Lynn Vannatta, 55, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2020. She was born on September 17, 1964.
Cheryl is preceded in death by her father, Noble Cahill and step-father, Joe "Tootsie" Thompson.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, William Vannatta; 6 daughters, Juanita Sadler (Eddie), Wanda Murphy (Mert), Sheridan Baker (Deshaun), Casey Jecker (Mark), Dilia Anglea (Danny), and Phyllis Jecker; her mother, Wanda Lipsey; sisters, Jennifer Wilson and Carolyn Caswell; a brother, Robert Cahill; and 15 grand children.
She was a loving Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter and Nana. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She always made everyone smile with her infectious laugh and infamous red hair, which we will all remember. She was a fighter and fought hard with her health for the last 10 years, and was still fighting up until her final days. She had a life full of love and happiness and will be remembered and missed dearly by everyone who loved her.
A private service will be held for immediate family only at this time, but a larger memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the future for extended family and friends.
