Cheryl Lee Madaris, born on March 16, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky, left this world on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family and friends. Cheryl's kindness was a defining trait throughout her life. She had an unwavering spirit of generosity, often giving her last to those in need, even when her own resources were limited. Her warm heart and compassionate nature touched many lives.
Cheryl, known for her deep faith and devotion, found joy in praying for people all over the country. She traveled to various states, attending church services and prayer meetings, where she inspired others through her belief and heartfelt prayers. For those who knew her, Cheryl's enthusiasm for life was exemplified in her love for vacations at the beach; nothing brought her more joy than the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Olivia Howell, Hayley Howell, Arissa Howell, and Emily Madaris; her mother, Emma Howell; her brothers, Michael Howell and David Howell (Mary); and her cherished grandson, Jalijah Bibb. She was preceded in death by her father, Terry Howell.
A visitation will be held in her honor on August 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY, 40243. Following the funeral service Cheryl will be laid to rest at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
Cheryl's light will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness and loving spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
