Cherri Elmore, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Monday peacefully at her home.
She was born on September 4, 1951 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was called home to be with her parents John Henry Higgason and Allyne Miller Kinney, her Father and Mother-In-Law David and Christine Elmore, her daughter Wanda and her grand-daughter, Lynn Marie Jordan.
She will be dearly missed by her best friend and soulmate, her husband of 31 years, John Elmore, her daughter, Jennifer Compton (Denny), her three sons, Michael (Melanie) Jordan, Jason (Pamela) Elmore, and Shain Elmore, her Sisters, Deborah (Glen) Hitt, and Willie Cook, her Step-Sons, Jesse (Dawn) Baumgardner, and Bryan Sage, Nephews Jesse, Steven and Robert Driver, 27 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren, and many close family and friends.
She was a loving, caring and all around wonderful wife, mom, sister, nanny, aunt, and friend.
She would say I don't want anyone to cry over me. I want you all to rejoice, laugh, and share the memories you have of me...I love each and every one of you...Forever, Cherri Elmore.
There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
