Chauncey Va'Than Gilbert, Jr.

Chauncey Va'Than "C.J." Gilbert, Jr., 21, of Louisville, KY, gained his angel wings on June 26, 2018, He loved sports, dancing and his favorite food was potatoes. He could always make you laugh and he would light up a room with his smile.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Stephanie Gilbert

C.J. is survived by his father, Chauncey Va'Than (Eunice) Gilbert; brother, Stephon Gilbert; grandmother, Vetta Bonner; grandfather, Roland Gilbert; aunt, Dominique Murray; uncle, Bernard Kirksey; great- aunt; Billie Kirksey; great-uncle, William J. Bonner and a host of cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018, from 10am-12pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY with a celebration C.J.'s life beginning at 12pm.
