Chastity "Chas" Martin, aged 49, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Chas was a remarkable woman whose love touched the hearts of many. As a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she lived her life with compassion and grace, always putting others before herself. Her 25 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse showcased her unwavering commitment to caring for her patients, embodying the essence of true selflessness.
A woman of deep faith, Chas was an active member of Cornerstone Community Church for eight years, where she found joy in discussing scripture with her beloved dad. She cherished their engaging debates and treasured those moments, reflecting her passion for both the Lord and her family.
Born on May 8, 1976, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Kenneth and Sherry Eakins, Chas was a "daddy's girl" whose happiness resonated with everyone around her. She found joy in travel, particularly to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, where she always looked forward to indulging in her favorite Candy Apple from The Chunky Monkey. Shopping, especially at the Outlet Mall, also brought her delight, but it was her nurturing spirit that truly defined her character.
Chas's legacy will forever live on in the hearts of her loving husband of 14 years, Michael Martin, her devoted mother, Sherry Eakins, father, Kenneth Eakins, step-daughter, Jacklyn (Gene) Beeber, sister-in-law, Dorthy Bika, and her cherished grandchildren, Aiden and Kami. She leaves behind a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation, which will be held from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 pm, with burial at Bethany Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
