Charlotte Jean (Jackson) Weathers

Charlotte Jean (Jackson) Weathers, 87, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 4, 2026. A devoted member of Scottsville Christian Church for many years, Charlotte's life was marked by her deep faith, love for family, and commitment to her community.

Born on March 21, 1938, in Marengo, Indiana, Charlotte was the daughter of Reverend Lemuel and Alice (Reynolds) Jackson. She embraced the values instilled in her by her parents and carried them throughout her life. Charlotte's journey was not without its hardships; she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Weathers, and her son, John Weathers. She also mourned the loss of her brothers, Charles, Seldon, Junior, William, and James Jackson, along with her sisters, Mary Alice Matthews and Helen McBride.

Charlotte is lovingly remembered by her surviving children, James Weathers (Kathy), David Weathers (Esther), and Laura Dunn (Craig). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Amber Whittaker (Seth), Douglas Storz, Suzanne Storz (Tannan), Amanda "Ash" Dunn, and Ryan Smith, as well as her great-grandchildren, Kali and William Archibald.

A visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, located on 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany and continue on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will commence at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown.
