Charliah Shahid-Heil

Charliah (Charli) Hannan Shahid-Heil, 22, of Louisville, KY entered into paradise on February 23, 2017. She was born along with her twin sister (Camillah) on May 17, 1994, to Alla Shahid and Charles (Chuck) Heil. Charliah graduated from the Academy for Individual Excellence on May, 2012, then she became a member of Park Community Supports from 2012-2016.
Charliah was a very special person who had the most amazing, warm and unique spirit and smile. She never met a stranger and if you knew her, you loved her no matter your relationship to her. The kind heart that she had was exposed to any and everyone who crossed her path. Her beautiful smile accented the one of kind personality that she had. Charliah's presence was strong and contagious, because a laugh or smile was what you would express when she was around. Uplifting and genuine are the best words to describe Charliah. Happiness is what she always put forth on a daily basis. The many lives she touched, in just a short period of time, explain a lot about her. No one ever did any harm in her eyes because she was the most loving and sweetest person ever. If you knew Charliah you knew she a very technical and savvy person. Everyone could relate to her remembering those words, "Let me see your phone" or "Let's take a selfie". Everyone knew her loving heart was not geared only towards one person. Charliah was truly a blessing and gift from God to her parents, siblings, relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends. You had no choice, but to think of kind words when Charliah comes to mind because she was an angel here on earth.
She was preceded in death by her great-grand parents, Henry Edward Meyer, Gwendolyn Howard and Leon Howard.
Charliah is survived by her mother, Alla Shahid; father, Charles Heil; sisters, Camillah (Terrance), her twin sister, Ameerah, Neveah, Arianah and Nariyah; grandparents, Karen "Nana" Mike (Michael Devore), Charles "PawPaw Charlie" and Rosie "MawMaw Rosie" Heil, Lenesse "Granny" Shahid (Edward) and Salim "Popi" Shahid (Janice); great-grandparents, MawMaw, Hattie "Grandmama" Smyzer, Owen "Granddaddy" Smyzer, Charles "PawPaw Heil" and Marcia MawMaw Heil", nephews, Terrance, Jr. and Taaj; niece, Teryn and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 2pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY). A celebration of Charliah's life will be Thursday, March 2, 2017, beginning at 1pm at New Covenant Baptist Church, 1190 S. 40th Street, Louisville, KY.
