Charles Harry Youngren, III

Charles Harry "Charlie" Youngren, III, age 67, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Louisville, KY, passed away on August 29, 2024. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany to Elisabeth Neugebauer and Charles H. Youngren, Jr.  A proud graduate of Murray State University, Charlie also attended the University of Louisville and Eastern Kentucky University. He had a profound passion for geology, proudly embracing his identity as a "rock hound," and shared a special affinity for computers.

Charlie's family is grateful for the strong support network of friends and colleagues he cultivated during his time in San Diego. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Harry Youngren, Jr.

He leaves behind cherished memories with his mother, Elisabeth Youngren; his brothers, Duane (Melissa) Youngren and Johnny (Charla) Youngren; and his beloved nephew, Robby Youngren and niece, Kasey White.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 12 PM to 2 PM, followed by a celebration of Charlie's life beginning at 2 PM.

Charlie will be laid to rest at Bethany Memorial Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY.
