Charles Erik Whelan, 36, of Louisville passed away on March 20, 2017. Erik was born in Louisville on May 1, 1980. He graduated from Fairdale High School and worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Tammy and John Buckman; three children Haylie, Makayla, and Isaac; fiance, Sabrina Roeder; brother, Jamie Buckman; aunt, Mary Jo Mudd; grandfather, Charles L. Whelan; and step-father, William E. Burns.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation on Friday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West will follow services.
