Charles Torain Jr.

Charles Torain Jr., 83, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019. He was a Chemical operator at B.F. Goodrich-Polyone Co. He retired after 32 years of service. His past time enjoyment was fishing, feeding the ducks, birds and squirrels in his neighborhood. He enjoyed talking to young people about when he was a boy. He was a good friend to many during his lifetime. Most of all he loved his family

He was born on November 3, 1935 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to Charles and Melissa Torain. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his Step-Mother, Katie Torain.

Charles is survived by his Daughters: Regina Shead (Michael), Martha Fleming (Angelo), Tammy Dance, Terrie Davis, Dionna Davis, and Denia Davis, Sons: Charles (Chuckie) Torain, III, Alvin Fuqua, Garry D. Torain (Charlene), Michael Bush, Sr. (Toni). Sisters: Vanessa Smith and Deborah Starks, Brother, Willie Torain, Grandchildren: Myciah Shead, Michael Shead, Jr., Michaela Shead, Angelo Fleming, Derric Dance, Kim Dance, Jr., Lania Davis, Diondre Sublett, Tiriq Davis, Keausha Morris, Charles Torain, IV, Anthony Perkins, Anngenva Torain, Gara Torain, Nyla Torain, Michael Bush, Jr., Corneilius Bush, and Billy Tobin. Great-Grandchildren: Mia Burdette, Jaidyn Sublett, Jayce Sublett, Kevin Torain, Kevon Torain, Romon Morris, Qujuandon Morris, Chrislynn Torain, Caius Bush, Hudson Bush, Keaston Jones, Makynzi Allen, and Maleiah Allen, and a host of special nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his best friend Linda Torain.

Gathering for family and friends will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at the funeral home.
