Charles Thomas Hill Jr., age 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born on November 6, 1956, in Louisville to Charles and Shirley (Richmond) Hill, Charles was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who deeply cherished his family and community.
Charles had a passion for horse racing and fishing, enjoyed family gatherings, and loved exploring new recipes. His fondness for music, especially classic rock and Elvis, brought joy to many moments. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories full of love and laughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas Hill Sr. and Shirley Lea Hill. Charles leaves behind his loving wife of 39 years, Linda Sue Hill; daughter Grace (Zachary) Lamkin; sons Jacob Hill and Luke Hill; grandchildren Summer Hill, Emma Grace Lamkin, Cruz Lamkin, and Walker Hill; his siblings Carrie (Stan) Kirby, Lisa Board, and Richard (Dana) Hill; as well as many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will forever hold his memory dear.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location, with burial to take place afterward at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
In honor of Charles’s memory, the family kindly suggests contributions be made to the Kentucky VA or The Homeless and Housing Coalition of Kentucky.
Friends and loved ones are invited to share memories and condolences for the Hill family through the guestbook. Charles Thomas Hill Jr. will be deeply missed and warmly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
