Charles Edward Spencer, 67, a loving husband and father of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018. He enjoyed fishing and watching wrestling, as well as music and playing the guitar. Charlie also loved going for rides and taking in the scenery.
He was born on March 10, 1951, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Marie (Hurt) Spencer. Charlie was also preceded in death by his siblings, Eddie Spencer and Joann Autry.
Charlie is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Jeanette (Miller) Spencer; son, Charles "Laz" Spencer; granddaughter, Amber Spencer; brothers, Robert, Howard, Danny, and Doug Spencer; sisters, Donna Jean Rice, Carol Giffin, Cathy Snider, and Doris Lanham; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
