Charles Henry Sanders, Jr., 69, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Charles was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and loved being a mechanic, sipping on a Polar Pop, and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was born on January 29, 1952, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Charles, Sr., and Repsie (Browder) Sanders. Along with his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Smith; and brother, Michael Sanders.
Charles is survived by his loving daughter, Tifanie Griffin; grandchildren, Jasmyn Foster, Delysha (Dorian) Hazzard, and Elizabeth (Edgar) Foster; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany (3309 Ballard Lane). His Funeral Service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with cremation to follow. He will be laid to rest with military honors in the New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.
