Charles Rodney Napier

November 26, 1935 — April 2, 2015

Charles Rodney Napier, age 79 of Louisville, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015. He was originally from Harlan, Kentucky. He retired from Safetran. Charlie was an avid UK Fan, a great poker player, loved people, music and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reece and Fannie Jones Napier; and his siblings.

Mr. Napier is survived by his loving wife of almost 56 years, Shirley Ruth Cook Napier; children, Debby Cook (Ralph), Donna Jetter (Michael), Julie Napier, Melinda Hammond (Eric); grandchildren, Matthew and Cassandra Jetter; great-grandchildren, Anastasia Bell, Elijah Hammond and one to come, Adrian Hammond; best and special friend, Dorothy Buckner; and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral ceremony will be 2pm Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there on Monday from 2-8pm and on Tuesday 11am-2pm.

Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
