Charles Lee Riggs

November 15, 1931 — March 18, 2022

Charles Lee (C.L.) Riggs, 90, passed away on March 18, 2022. He was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church. C.L. retired from Wehr Construction after 40 years of service and was a member of AFL/CIO - Local 576 for 65 years. He was an avid golfer, bowler and enjoyed traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Cliffie Riggs; sisters, Yvonne Riggs, Ersie Johnson, Louise Joyce, Shirley Miller, Elizabeth Choat, Irene Stanton, Opal and Pauline and his brother, Stanley Riggs.

C.L. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 50 years, Maxine Riggs; step-son, Don (Carolyn Berry) Duff; step-grandchildren, Dustin Duff, Jacob (Jen) Duff, Sarah (Brian) MacKenzie and Rachel (William) Schupp; 8 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Deanee Barton and brother, Dewey (Pat) Riggs.

Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 10am-2pm with a celebration of C.L.'s life beginning at 2pm.
