Charles David "Chad" Oakes, 35, passed away on October 9, 2015.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Dora Ragsdale; sisters, Stephanie Michelle Oakes and Rebecca Oakes; brother, Robert Christopher Jones.

He is survived by his children, Bishop, Melanie and Kiana; mother, Kimberly (Dan Graves) Jones; father, Ernie (Angel)Oakes; brothers, Eric Dylan Jones and Adam Allen; step-brother, Josh (Stephanie) Jones; grandparents, Martin Ray (Betty) Johnson and Mildred Oakes; aunts, Donna (Harry) Lambert and Peggy (Bob) McIntire; uncles, Larry (Pam) Ragsdale, Mike Ragsdale and Ricky (Karen) Ragsdale; and a host of cousins.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway) from 2pm-7pm with a celebration of Chad's life beginning at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to Kimberly Jones.
