Listen to Obituary

Charles Stephen Noe Jr. "Large", 52 of Louisville, KY, and former long time resident of Melbourne, FL, entered into eternal rest, on 6/13/25, peacefully at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit in Louisville with his nieces Keshia and Breanna by his side after a very brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  Large was undoubtedly welcomed into heaven with open arms by his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, his parents, Charles S. and Carolyn S. Noe, his sister, Robin Shain; nephew Zakk "Kidd" Patton along with many other loved ones who perished before him.

A life well lived, leaving behind a legacy of love for his 3 sisters, Kimberly Blacklock, Kimberly Noe both of Louisville, Stacey Patton of Shepherdsville; 1 brother, Christopher Noe of Georgia; his beloved nieces, Keshia, Breanna, Kayelani, Cyndi, Amanda, Jackie, & Jenni; nephew, James; 15 great nieces/nephews whom he loved dearly, his best friend, Michael K. of Melbourne,  as well as an abundance of other family members and friends.
Large was born on August 14 1972, and raised in Louisville, KY, until the age of 16 when he moved to Southern Florida with his father after his mothers untimely departure. He remained in Florida until 2008 when he returned back to his hometown to be surrounded by his family and friends after the passing of his father 6 years prior. Despite the many challenges and losses he faced from even an early age, Large was known most for his humble and outgoing personality, his ability to relate to any and everyone he came into contact with, his tender, loving nature and his love of music. He lived a life marked by his devotion to family, his cat Lulu, his passion for music of all types, but especially his favorite rock band KISS, his unwavering support for the University of Kentucky Wildcats and his culinary talents as he spent the majority of his adult life as a Head Chef to be able to support himself.

Though he is no longer with us physically, we will always carry the memory of him in all of our hearts.

The family would like to send our sincerest thank you's to the nursing staff/aides of Jewish Hospital 6East, the entire staff at the Hosparus Inpatient Unit, The Phelps family, Global Vision Ministry of Love Louisville, Shirley's Way and all of those who donated to help cover his expenses. We could never begin to thank you all enough for the love, and compassion you have shown our family in our time of need.

Per his wishes, due to the overwhelming amount of people who loved him, Large wanted to be cremated, and to have a celebration of life party full of food, laughter, family, friends and fun in both Louisville, KY, in Melbourne, FL and then to have his ashes scattered in the ocean alongside his fathers. The Louisville celebration of life has been scheduled and will be on Saturday, July 26th, 2025, from 5pm - 9pm at Cheers Party Hall, 4738 Rockford Plaza, Louisville, KY, 40216.

The date and time of the Celebration of Life in Melbourne, FL will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to either Global Vision Ministry of Love Louisville or Hosparus Inpatient Unit of Louisville.

Long Live Large!
