Charles Edward Matthews

Charles E. Matthews, age 86 of Augusta, KY passed away peacefully at home with his daughter Karen Arthur and his grandson Christopher Waits by his side. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley Matthews and his parents Marcus Shelby Matthews and Delma Casey. He worked at GE for 24 years and continued a career in sales for many years after. He was also the President of Parents without Partners in Louisville KY for many years.

Charlie is survived by his sons Anthony Matthews, Norman Matthews (Mary), Duane Arthur (Jeanie), his daughter Karen Arthur, his grandchildren Christopher, Cody, Brooke, Ethan, Sarah, Joshua, Caleb, Nathan and Charlie and his great grandchildren Joslyn and Maliah.

Visitation will be 2-4pm Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, followed by a celebration of Charlie's life at 4pm.
