Charles E. Lucas Sr.

August 31, 1940 — July 15, 2021

Charles E. Lucas Sr., 80, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, and friend to all. He dedicated his life to Jehovah on July 17, 1980 and he remained faithful to the end 41 years. He was a loyal servant and lover of Jehovah. We will truly miss you "We will see you in paradise!"

Two of his favorite scriptures were Isaiah 33:24 "and no resident will say I am sick" and Revelation 21:4 " and he will wipe every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore". When we look back at our dear husband, father, brother, and friend. We will always remember his wisdom he shared, the encouragement he always gave to each and everyone of us. but most of all we will remember his contagious smile.

He was born on August 31, 1940 in Elmore, Alabama to David and Matilda (Pearl) Lucas. He is preceded in death by his father, David Lucas, mother, Matilda Pearl Lucas, and daughter, Charlene Smith.

Charles is survived by his loving Wife of 59 years, Rosie M. Lucas; children, Bessie (Antonial) Johnson, Rosie Waters, Mary Lucas, and Charles (Ty) Lucas, Jr.; granddaughter, Teresa Lucas; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. As well as a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his fun loving memory forever.
