Charles Edward Livers

Charles Edward "Sonny" Livers, 76 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was a member of the VFW Post 3281 and American Legion Post 28 and Shawnee Post 193. Sonny was also a member of the 40 & 8 Club and Northside Christian Church.

Sonny was born on March 17, 1941 in Seymour, Indiana to the late Charles Albert and Martha Lee (Potts) Livers. Along with his parents, Sonny is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Sorg) Livers. He is survived by his children, John Martin Livers (Veronica Gale), Ronald Scott Livers (Laura), Charles "Bugsy" Livers (Sharon), and Robin Livers; brother, Teddy "Bo-Bo" Livers (Chris); 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3 PM to 8 PM Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday, August 25, 2017 at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Sonny's wishes. Entombment will follow at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
