Charles Walter Lewis, Sr., 55, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017. Charles was a jack of all trades. He loved NASCAR, sports, and hunting, but his true passion was spending time with his family.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Libby (Woodward) Lewis; children, Charles Lewis, Jr., Tiffany LaPointe (Jerome), Anthony Lewis (Amanda) and Melissa Lewis (Jocelyn Mousty); father, Charles "Pops" Lewis; siblings, Make Lewis (Chrissy), Rosie Gardner and Carliss "Bit" Lewis; grandchildren, Colton, Caden, Morgan, Devin, Jerome, Sara, Wyatt, Mason and Sahara. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ida (Jacobs) Lewis.
A Memorial Service will be at 5:30 PM on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Blue River Baptist Church (5624 E Farabee Rd, Salem, IN). A Celebration of Life Ceremony will immediately follow at 7099 E SR 160, Salem, IN. Cremation was chosen following Charles' wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Charles' name to the Colon Cancer Alliance (1025 Vermont Ave, NW, Suite 1066, Washington, DC 20005).
