Charles Franklin "Chic" Leech, age 71 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. Chic graduated and played football at University of Kentucky as a defensive lineman, with a major in Finance. He was a volunteer for many passions, including March of Dimes, and carried a special card for blood donation at the American Red Cross. He was an Eagle Scout and Scoutmaster for Troop 305 and was a lifelong volunteer. Chic was a proud Navy Veteran who served during Vietnam. He was employed with AAA for a number of years. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas P. and Hilma Schwartz Leech; and siblings, Glen and Grayson Leech.
Chic is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Nancy Wheeler Leech; children, Stephen (Linda), David (Tonya), Cody (Virginia), Rachel and Zachary Leech; grandchildren, Tyler, Levi, Austin, John David and Victoria Leech; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 2-5 pm Thursday, January 10, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown, followed by a celebration of Chic's life at 5pm there. Burial will be 11 am Friday, January 11th at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N. Dixie Highway, Radcliff, KY. 40160 with military honors.
