Charles M. Kremer DMD age 72 passed away peacefully on September 24th, 2021 while in the care of Hosparus of Louisville. He was born September 25th, 1948 in Louisville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert K. and Josephine Kremer, and sister, Ann Sallee. He is survived by his siblings, Kenny Kremer, Theresa Kremer, MaryJo Sorendo and Barbara Apel; children, Chris (Sarah) Kremer and Annie (Nic) Mersmann; and grandchildren, Nicholas (Annie), Lily, and Ryan (Chris).
Charlie graduated University of Louisville Dental school in 1974 and practiced in St. Matthews, KY for over 30 years. He was also a talented musician and played keyboard in Kenny and the Accents, The Lynchmen and Metro. Music was a true passion that was the epicenter of his life for many years and the bond that kept a close circle of family and friends that endures beyond his passing. Charlie also was a lover of cars most notably his beloved 1965 GTO and 1966 Corvette. He also loved playing tennis and competed many years in leagues.
Charlie was the type of person to put others before himself and was known to host parties at his home that featured plenty of food and intense ping pong matches. He loved being surrounded by friends and family, music, food and plenty of laughter. That above all else is what most people bring up when talking about Charlie, is all the good times they had. Most recently the treasures of his life became his two grandsons, Nicholas and Ryan. No matter how sick he became, he always had a little extra energy when they were around. He will certainly be remembered as someone that truly loved and cherished his family and close friends and that sentiment is carried on by his family and friends for many years to come.
The family would like to thank Hosparus for the love and care they provided in the final weeks of his life. We would also ask if you wish to send flowers please send something we can plant or place in a memorial garden or in Lieu of flowers feel free to make a donation to your charity of choice in his name.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 10 am to 12 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
