Charles Thomas King, Sr.

Charles Thomas King, Sr., age 95 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025.  Charles was born on October 24, 1929 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Earl and Hattie Sturgeon King.   After high school Charles served in the United States Navy.  After an honorable discharge, he started a career with the Louisville Water Company as an equipment operator for over 20 years.  Charles enjoyed going out to eat and taking trips.  His favorite TV show was Gunsmoke.  He was a member of VFW#1170 in Middletown, the Zachary Taylor Post of the American Legion and a Baptist.  

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Greenwell King; and his children, Charles T. King, Jr., Michael King and Vickie Rhodes.

Charles is survived by his devoted friend, Shelly Snow; her children, Jacob Snow and Ashley Snow; and a host of relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Chenoweth Run Cemetery on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:30am, where he will be interred next to his beloved wife.
