Charles J. Peters

Charles J. Peters, age 72 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, he attended St. Xavier High School and was a Marine Corps Veteran who served in Viet Nam. Charles was an avid Bengals and UofK fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oral "Pete" and Rose Lennon Peters; his sister, Kathleen Schwarz.

Charles is survived by his loving sisters, Mary Jeffries and Rita Ordaz (Ed); nieces and nephews, Kimberly Brand (Joe), Mary Rose Lile (Mark), Kevin Schwarz (Ashley), Christy Patterson, Heather Smith, Erin Nalley (Billy), Ashley Thomas; great-nieces and great-nephews, Aly and Kyle Brand, Kynlee Brand, Mark, Katie and Trevor Lile, Haylee Schwarz, Jessica Jeffries, Savannah and Zackary McGraw, Matthew and Andrew Smith, Ronin Briley and Tayzia Thomas; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 3-8pm Friday, February 26, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive. Funeral ceremony will be 10am Saturday, February 27th at the funeral home, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
