Charles Joseph Adams, Jr., 78, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on December 27, 2015. He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Louisville and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Starlight. Charlie was a United States Marine Corp veteran, a member of Glaizer Local Union 1529, and a life member of the Marine Corp League.
He was born on August 23, 1937 in Louisville to the late Charles, Sr., and Mary Francis (Skelton) Adams. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Juanita Lynch Berry, Marcella Schenkenfelder, and Rose Long.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis (Lynch) Adams; daughter, Kim Kruer (Andrew, Jr.); sons, Charles "Chuck" Adams III (Debra), Todd Adams, Mitchell Adams (Angela); 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (8310 St. John's Road, Starlight) with burial and military honors to follow in the church cemetery.
